Simona Pedone

Simona started working on old slides, the ones we used to project on white walls at home, photos of the family. She was fascinated by their content but also by their explicitly protective form, archaic, uncannily close to certain buildings by Renzo Piano, such as the Centre Pompidou or the Menil Collection. So the project is a reflection on the sense of time and its ambiguity but also on its resilience, on the fragmentation of memory and the reconstruction, day by day, of a finished present.
