International Fashion Industries Alliance Festival
With the aim of promoting as contributor to the new global fashion industrial ecosystem, Chinastone has organized for the first time in Qingdao the International Fashion Industries Alliance Festival - "When Turandot meets Mulan - Promote the Industrial Dialogue between East and West Fashion". CNMI has been Guest of Honor of the event.
The Festival was committed to create a “3+3” fashion industry strategy: integrating 3 international resources - material, brand, design - with 3 China’s resources - manufacturing capacity, sales channels, understanding of the Chinese market.
The title of the 1st festival is “When Turandot meets Mulan”, because 2020 marks the 50th anniversay of China and Italy diplomatic cooperation agreement. The purpose is to facilitate business, cultural exchange and integrate the competitive advantages between the East and the West under the new round of globalization.
The event was held on 29th November 2020, at the Qingdao International Conference Center, as a one-day event. It consisted of an Opening Ceremony, a Fashion Industry Forum on relevant themes for the fashion system, the fashion show of a traditional Chinese brand, as well as the fashion show of a historic Italian brand, closed-door meetings etc.
CNMI was guest of honor of the event and took part in the opening ceremony and in the forum through a digital presence, with some speeches by Carlo Capasa, CNMI Chairman, as a symbol of an in-depth cultural exchange and collaboration between Chinese and Italian fashion communities. Moreover, CNMI invited a group of Italian designers and brands from the Milano Fashion Week S/S 2021 to participate in the conference in various forms. Jacopo Etro, Creative Director of ETRO Home & Textiles and CNMI’s board member, took part with a live speech in the forum, providing an insight on the brand and on the cooperation between Italy and China in the fashion field.
Moreover, the promotion of young designers is one of the pillars of CNMI. For this reason, CNMI has involved a selection of 5 Italian emerging brands who have had the opportunity to showcase their collections in a dedicated exhibition area and to develop important occasions of networking and business. The selected brands are: Amato Daniele, Flapper, Flavia La Rocca, Gilberto Calzolari, Michele Chiocciolini.
