DESIGNERS FOR THE PLANET

Reaching its 8th edition this year, Designers For The Planet is a project dedicated to emerging brands that see sustainability as a fundamental requisite in the production of their collections, presented at this edition too in a dedicated space in Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana’s Fashion Hub. The brands were selected by a technical panel chaired by Carlo Capasa, President, Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, and including Beppe Angiolini, Founder & Owner of Sugar, Francesca Busi, Fashion Content Creator, Tassili Calatroni, Photographer, Ramona Tabita, Fashion Stylist and Veronica Tonini, CEO and Vice-president, ARB SBPA. The challenge is to rethink the future of fashion by plotting a course to achieve the highest standards of sustainability in terms of industrial, environmental and social criteria and support the new generations who are increasingly sensitive to such issues.

A GLOBAL MOVEMENT TO UPLIFT UNDERREPRESENTED BRANDS

A Global Movement To Uplift Underrepresented Brands is a project of Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana in partnership with Teneisha Carr, owner and editor-in-chief of Blanc Magazine, an independent and inclusive platform that celebrates fashion, art and music. The event is one of the many initiatives on which Blanc Media and CNMI have worked together in recent years. The goal of A Global Movement to Uplift Underrepresented brands is to give visibility and business opportunities to designers who are underrepresented on the prestige international arena that is Milano Fashion Week. The brands selected for the 3rd edition are BRUCEGLEN, ELIELS, and SABIRAH.

BIRIMIAN COLLECTIVE

Birimian Collective showcases a selection of designers from Birimian’s annual acceleration program for the first time in Italy. Birimian Ventures is a financial institution that supports emerging designers inspired by African heritage and craftsmanship. Its mission is to bring premium African brands to the international fashion scene. Its actions are centered around 3 pillars: capacity building, access to finance, and market opportunities. The brands are Chez Nous, Lafalaise Dion, Renwa.

MFW Forward

Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana has been focused for years on supporting the growth of new talents and helping emerging independent brands. To this end, CNMI organizes numerous projects in which it hosts brands in spaces specially designed and organized to stage their shows and presentations. One example is MFW Forward, a project in which seven brands alternate in displaying their collections throughout Fashion Week. The brands were chosen for their focus on research, innovation and experimentation and their capacity to combine these aspects with new trends and cultural change.
