CNMI: proposals for economic measures to the Government to face the COVID-19 emergency
Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana has drawn up a document detailing a number of proposals for action in support of the fashion industry, in this particular moment of emergency that the country is facing. The document was submitted to the Prime Minister’s office and to the competent ministries, with whom CNMI is in constant contact and who have been actively working for weeks for the implementation of economic measures to safeguard the country.
The fashion industry represents our second most important nationwide, Italy is the first luxury fashion producer in world and the first fashion producer in Europe.
The Italian supply chain, known worldwide, is at risk. For this reason we must regard the fashion industry as one of the mostly affected by the diffusion of the virus COVID-19, alongside tourism and transportation.
The decree “Cura-Italia” has incorporated some of the measures suggested by CNMI, our wish is that other measures can be accepted in future measures.
CNMI has made proposals, partially already perceived by the “Cura-Italia” decree and has proposed two detailed projects on two particularly important measures:

CNMI, thanks to the great availability of its associated Brands, is working with the Italian Trade Agency (ICE), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation and the other industry associations, on a series of promotion and communication initiatives for the fashion industry, which will be implemented in the second half of the year.
Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana and its associates are in direct contact with the Italian institutions and reaffirm to the Government their willingness to give a real and effective contribution, in this moment that call for collaboration and unity.
