FOCUS ON: SANTO SPADA - THE BEST YOUTH OF FASHION

It all started as a game for Santo Spada, from Catania, who as a child enjoyed creating clothes for the dolls of his little girlfriends, but at the age of 15 he realized he really wanted to learn the ancient art of cutting and sewing; after all - as the maestro Gianni Versace loved to say - to become a designer you must first of all be a good tailor. Young Santo begins four years of training in tailoring at the workshop of Saint Crispino Couture, he entered the contest Modalive Mediterranean and won the first prize awarded by the President of the Republic, then he attended the IED in Milan, where he graduated in 2008, so he began to travel between Paris and London, extending his knowledge, but remaining faithful to the legendary Italian tailoring.

On 28 February 2012 he showed along with the other winners of the Next Generation contest, sponsored by Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, during the last day of Milano Moda Donna, a really important result considering that Santo was born in 1986. "Smart, stylish, full of richness," this is how Santo Spada has defined his woman, his vision of fashion is clear: the ability to adapt to circumstances is the secret of elegance; the dress should express the personality of the wearer and the smile is a must-have accessory. The collection he proposed was inspired by the great glass masters of Murano, the clothes evoked them with the lightness, the transparency, the fluffy rose and the black chiffon.
