The blazer and the butterflies are the stars of Roberto Cavalli spring/summer 2013 collection designed by his son Daniel, who, for the first time - at the end of the show - stepped on the catwalk to take the applauses. The jacket either in a suit solution or in a bolder two pieces is the clear hint of style and, while deconstruction reigns, here is a nice contrast in a triangular shape that gives it a rock soul, a firmer silhouette softened by small details like the silk scarf knotted around his neck, a dandy mannerism. The wings of a butterfly are obsessively repeated in micro or macro drawings and replace the more traditional animal prints or rather renew them. The shiny silk fabrics and laminates are the measure of opulence, of the artistic research, but also of the quality of the fabrics, aspect never neglected, as Roberto Cavalli proudly claims.
