DSQUARED2: TO CLASS AFTER THE PARTY

DSQUARED2: TO CLASS AFTER THE PARTY

The last morning of Milano Moda Uomo is opened by Dsquared2. The Canadian twins Dean and Dan Caten take us back to school and wake us up just like the recreation bell used to do. The setting is a classroom with small desks, blackboards and “model-students”. Pink Floyd shout the message: "We don’t need no education". Rebel students  who really deserve fail: children of the bourgeoisie, who must get a degree no matter what;  radical chic, foul-mouthed and merrymaker, always holding a cugarette  between their  fingers, having a great time and definitely devoting  more time to their look than their education.

The "bottle silhouette" is the real news: trousers very slim on the legs, low waist, cut on the knee and wider at the ankle. Sweaters: brushed mohair, or diamond argyle or  turtleneck. The cured styling mixes velvet tuxedo with pre-washed jeans and mods style parkas that resemble those worn by students during the student demonstrations. The jackets, short and tight, made of oiled suede or fabric are called "Boobou".  The palette of colors: camel, sand, khaki, denim, gray and black with touches of red and white which lighten the look.
Many accessories characterize the different characters of the "class": "cool-nerd" style eyeglasses in clear acetate and wood, but also shades, to cover the post-party dark circled eyes, we also have berets, scarves, gloves and army hats with leather sunshade. The backpacks and briefcases are multitasking, made of leather and nylon or coated cotton and colored fabric.
The look of these young men is the result of countless hours of research, but not in the library ...
