ICEBERG: HYPSTER ICONS

The man which Paolo Gerani designed for Iceberg is a young Hypster who lives in Williamsburg and listen to a lot of indie music, jazz and bebop. The bowler, a tribute to the legendary Chaplin, worn cocked with a perky forelock, is the distinctive element that recurs throughout the collection. Even the pants are "clownish": oversized, with suspenders and double pleats. The knitwear, of which Gerani is a real expert, is a real collectors’ piece. The melange of contrasting colors are mixed to very dark denim or indigo of the other suits. The sweaters and cardigans large and thick knitted, such as gloves that leave the fingers free. The bow tie is an included accessory and it dominates small-necked shirts. Alternating items fitting over with slim ones, these contrasts create an overall result of refinement, research and attention to detail. More musician than fashion trendy.
