The Fashion to Reconnect: A Tale of Two Style Capitals exhibition is organized by the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (CLASS) of City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) and the Pistoletto Foundation Cittadellarte, in collaboration with the National Chamber of Italian Fashion and sponsored by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency. It is part of the Hong Kong Fashion Fest, presented by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The exhibition, inaugurated on November 25, 2025, will run until December 24, 2025, at ArtisTree, Taikoo Place in Hong Kong.
Curated by Tiziano Guardini with staging by GuardiniCiuffreda Studio, the exhibition features works by nine Hong Kong designers and brands (Arto Wong, Dorian Ho, Jasmine Leung, Jason Ying, Mandy Fong, Mountain Yam, Tiger Chung, Toki Wong, and Vivienne Tam) alongside sixteen Italian designers and brands including Antonio Marras, CAVIA, Diesel, Etro, Ferragamo, Giorgio Armani, Institution, Lorenzo Seghezzi, Marco Rambaldi, Max Mara, Missoni, Oh Carla, Piero D’Angelo, Pietra Pistoletto, Tiziano Guardini, and Zegna. It reflects the cultural exchange and creative resonance between the two regions and serves as a platform highlighting designers' contributions to global sustainable fashion.
The Fashion to Reconnect project also includes six artistic installations of the Third Paradise, reinterpreted by Hong Kong artists and collectives, and will be accompanied by a two-day symposium. The event aims to foster exchanges between Hong Kong (China) and Italy in sustainability through meetings themed “Sino-Overseas Exchange: The Tale of Two Style Cities,” featuring speakers such as Paolo Naldini, General Director of Pistoletto Foundation Cittadellarte; Sara Sozzani Maino, Creative Director of the Sozzani Foundation and International New Talents & Brands Ambassador of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion; and eco-conscious designer and curator Tiziano Guardini.
The exhibition celebrates the meeting of East and West in a city shaped by cultural exchange for a long time. It presents sustainable fashion pieces from Italy carefully selected by the Pistoletto Foundation in collaboration with the National Chamber of Italian Fashion. Each piece embodies the core values of Fashion to Reconnect: care, transformation, connection, and responsibility. The event combines sustainable aesthetics with immersive experiences, encouraging visitors to reflect on the harmony between humans and nature and inspiring more conscious choices for a sustainable future.
