Italian Fashion Days in the World

On August 3, the first edition of the “Italian Fashion Days in the World” (GMIM) was launched, a project promoted by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani, within the framework of growth diplomacy. The initiative, carried out in collaboration with ICE Agency and the main fashion industry associations, aimed to promote Italian creativity and production abroad, while supporting the internationalization of a sector that includes over 62,000 companies and more than half a million employees.

The event was part of the promotion strategy coordinated by Sistema Italia and was linked to the “Opportunitaly” communication campaign, designed to generate new business opportunities and strengthen the presence of Italian companies in international markets. GMIM was created through a Memorandum of Understanding signed in Rome in January with numerous leading fashion organizations, including ANFAO, Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, Confartigianato Moda e Orafi, CNA Federmoda, Confindustria Moda, and Altagamma.

The first stop took place at the Italy Pavilion of Expo Osaka 2025, with the exhibition “Italia è Moda”, curated by Clara Tosi Pamphili and organized by the Consulate General of Italy, the Expo Commissioner’s Office, and ICE Agency, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana will be present in Osaka with seven designers and brands from the new generation of Italian fashion: Federico Cina, Cavia, Marco Rambaldi, Francesco Murano, Durazzi Milano, Magliano, Tiziano Guardini. Each of them will present one of their looks in the exhibition.

Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana promotes and develops projects that highlight the history, values, and traditions of Italian fashion. In recent years, it has collaborated with prestigious museum institutions to create anthological exhibitions, accompanied by the publication of catalogues.
At the same time, it supports emerging talents with the aim of shaping a new generation of designers and brands, who have also attracted the attention and support of the most influential international magazines.

Throughout 2025, the initiative continued its journey with events in Dubai in August, in Brazil in October (São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Belo Horizonte), and in India at the end of October, with appointments in New Delhi, Ahmedabad, and Mumbai.
