CAMERA CLUB: THE EXHIBITION "BORDERS: A FLASH OF NEW ITALIAN FASHION” IN NEW YORK CITY

On May 17th 2019, the exhibition "Borders: A Flash Of New Italian Fashion” has been launched in New York City, a project that is included in the framework of initiatives for the enhancement of the image of Italy abroad, promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Economic Development, the Consulate General of Italy in New York and the Italian Trade Commission - ICE in New York, in conjunction with the Embassy of Italy Washington, based on a project of Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana.

In the framework of the High Line, “Borders” has been dedicated to four Italian Emerging brands - M1992 Magliano, United Standard e Vitelli Maglieria Italiana - created by digital natives who subvert all the hierarchies and put past, present and glimpses of the future in a new perspective, in a set-up curated by Giangi Giordano. An extended version of the exhibition will take place in Milan during Men’s Fashion Week in June 2019.

CNMI Camera Club is a project which is aimed to promote the more contemporary face of Italy’s fashion, and devised to strengthen its interlinkages with other expressive means including art, design, music, and new technologies. The project has been conceived and developed by CNMI with Boiler.

Among the partners of the initiative, a special thanks to Consorzio Franciacorta - partner of CNMI since 2012 - and also to DHL Express Italy, which offered its know-how for shipping, and Bonaveri, which provided the mannequins used for the installation.
