The new Brioni fragrance

Brioni, the Italian fashion house of men’s luxury wear that is going to celebrate its 70th anniversary in 2015, has launched a new fragrance in which tradition blends with its distinctive spirit of innovation.

"When a man is wearing one of our outfits, he expresses a bold sensuality because he feels self-confident and comfortable. We wanted to translate this sensation into a seductive and glamorous fragrance", so creative director Brendan Mullane about the fragrance, simply called Brioni and produced by the fragrances and flavours company Firmenich with the collaboration of fragrance designer Raymond Matts. Three different accords play together in it: the citrusy accord of the cold-pressed Sicily lemon, the boutonnière of magnolia, Italian iris and violet notes, and finally the woody accord of smoky woods combined with saffron, cistus leaves, oud and black liquorice.

The fragrance, elegant and sensual, comes in a fine bottle created by the English designers Patrik Fredrikson and Ian Stallard, a glass sculpture made precious by a custom-made antique stopper. As the Brioni man teaches, it’s a detail that makes the difference.
