Trussardi Foundation presents Cine Dreams

"Cine Dreams", a special arts festival presented by the Nicola Trussardi Foundation and Miart on the occasion of Miart 2014, will take place from 28 to 30 March.

For the three evenings, the Ulrico Hoepli Planetarium of Milan will host installations, multimedia projections, and video and sound happenings that will tell the story of the constellations and universes. Opening the show under the dome of the planetarium on the Friday will be the original version of "Cine Dreams", the work by film and animation pioneer Stan VanDerBeek who presented it for the first time in 1972 in the state of New York. Saturday will see "Eternity through the stars" by Jeronimo Voss: images taken from ancient astronomical slides depicting the revolutions of the planets and the trajectories of comets throughout the solar system will be projected on the ceiling vaults of the planetarium. Finally, on Sunday, it will be the turn of Katie Paterson, the Glasgow artist with an approach that is at the same time multimedia and poetic, with an installation that explores the vastness of the universe and the earth.

The "Cine Dreams" festival, curated by Massimiliano Gioni and Vincenzo De Bellis, confirms the commitment of the Nicola Trussardi Foundation in support of the most interesting expressions of contemporary art, but also its deep love for Milan and its artistic and cultural heritage which had already led the Foundation to start a collaboration with Miart in 2008, when the special "Liberi tutti" (All Free) project was presented.
