Cocktails to close Milan Women’s Fashion

The end of Fashion Week was celebrated on Monday evening with a cocktail party at one of Milan’s most beautiful historic venues: the Hall of the Caryatids at the Royal Palace.

The Mayor of Milan, Giuliano Pisapia, and the President of the CNMI (National Chamber of Italian Fashion), Mario Boselli, invited the press, buyers, and personalities from the worlds of fashion, culture and business to join them in toasting the conclusion of a particularly splendid edition of Milan Women’s Fashion Week. With sparkling Franciacorta on offer and excellent cocktails based on Grey Goose vodka, the party took place in the famous Hall of the Caryatids: the same room that had hosted the catwalk displays of some of fashion’s most talented emerging designers over previous days. Guests were also offered the chance to glimpse a preview of the exhibition, “Pollock and the Irascibles: The New York School”, which features more than sixty masterpieces from the Whitney Museum, New York. The show can be seen in one of the exhibition halls at the Palace, and provides yet another opportunity to celebrate the special blend of art and fashion in Milan.

Among the guests attending the cocktail event were: the Deputy Mayor, Lucia De Cesaris, Council Members, Cristina Tajani and Filippo Del Corno, the Honorary President of the CNMI, Beppe Modenese, Elio Fiorucci, Michele Norsa, Carlo Capasa, Gaetano Marzotto, Carlo Guglielmi, the fashion designer, Andrea Incontri and the Director of the CNMI, Giulia Pirovano.
