MOSCHINO, GREETINGS TO THE UNITED KINGDOM

The unique irony of Moschino this time blows on the world of the UK, so the fall-winter 2013 2014 is all a celebrating of the style of the citizens of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The tartan, that on the third day of Milan Fashion Week confirmed to be the trend for the next season, is the protagonist of much of the collection: in the suit created  on the lines of men's suits, in pleated skirts reminiscent of the kilt and in the short balloon ones; another reference to an English institution, literal as much as ideal, is the uniform of the agents of Scotland Yard which becomes simpering double-breasted coat above the knee and the models stroll on the catwalk wearing London police hats and gold embroidered badges on their chest. So, if the red and gold creep into the first part of the show, the second is a return to the classic Moschino codes: the  ‘black & tie’ that never goes out of fashion.
