”JOB NETWORK” IL PROGETTO DELLA CNMI E ADECCO

The focus of Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana towards the young does not end with the initiatives for emerging designers confirmed by the shows Nude and Next Generation or by the Temporary Showroom at the Fashion Hub during Milan Fashion Week, but also concentrates on the overriding issue of their integration into the world of work.

Thus was created the project "Job Network" that CNMI promotes in cooperation with Adecco and Adecco Tourism & Fashion, leading work agencies in Italy. The world of fashion, Italian excellence, requires knowledge, technical expertise and passion, it is a highly competitive system for which young people need to be properly prepared. For this reason, the CNMI has decided to make available its expertise and competence by creating a series of initiatives aimed at candidates and corporate marketplace.

"Job Network" will be structured in several phases: a first collection and screening of the candidates for the evaluation of suitable profiles, after the publication of all the jobs available on the website of CNMI, which will be regularly updated. At the request of individual firms Adecco Tourism & Fashion will offer an assessment  service of the candidates through interviews and evaluation questionnaires and Adecco will manage the trainees eventually placed by the firms.

The Fashion Week - moment of primary importance in the life of Milan - is not just an event for professionals and for the splendor of socialités that accompanies it; it is an opportunity for the entire city which must consider fashion as its own heritage. For this reason it was decided to start the project "Job Network" during Milan Fashion Week, February 20 to 26, with an interesting event for students of fashion and design, aspiring designers, brand managers, store managers, visual merchandisers.

To them is addressed the workshop "Talent Day: Companies meet Students" which will take place on February 23rd, 2013, a meeting to transfer the necessary know-how for the development of transversal skills, useful for an effective and efficient integration of young people in the firm. During the workshops will be covered useful and practical topics, such as the drafting of a résumé, how to approach a job interview, the techniques to develop and improve professional skills.

Another goal of the project is aimed at the companies, and it is to direct them towards a sustainable and responsible business model, that takes into account the changes and the new demands of a changing global market.  In 2013, two workshops for entrepreneurs will be organized on topical issues, relating to retail management, internationalization strategies and e-commerce.
