Davide Grillo

Born in La Spezia on 1 st February 1993. His first approach in fashion was taken at the institute for the Craft of Fashion in Parma, enriching it with short courses at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London. In 2010 he participated in the "Ponza Emotions contest in collaboration with Anna Fendi", where he exhibited an ethereal collection inspired by the nature movement of the island. During his studies he worked for several artisans and tailoring workshops of Parma where he learned the importance of assembling and dressmaking in ateliers. In 2011, after having won the special prize of the contest for young designers, "Riccione Moda Italia", with a collection inspired by the women of Boldini, he graduated with honors and immediately began working as a designer at Pinko. In 2012, simultaneously with his job he began attending an evening course in fashion design at the European Institute of Design in Milan ending it successfully with a collection on the delicate and sophisticated Meissen porcelain and the alchemy of their creation. In 2014 he was selected among the winners of Next Generation successfully bringing his collection, inspired by dreamlike visions of an Indian legend to the catwalks of F/W 14-15 Milan Fashion week. After an experience in Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda in 2016 he founded his own brand, based on the poetics of craftsmanship and uniqueness of traditional processes, which saw the launch of the first "collection 0" SS 2017 in September at the Fashion Hub Market in piazza Gae Aulenti during Milano Moda Donna. His third collection was selected among finalist for the competition of Vogue Italia and Alta Roma WION?2017.
