TORLOWEI

TORLOWEI is a fashion house founded by Patience Torlowei in 2017 in Lagos, Nigeria. The brand's founder and creative director places fabric and its workmanship at the center of the creative and design process. These traits, along with the jewel tones used and abstract shapes influenced by her Nigerian heritage are the hallmarks of TORLOWEI, whose collections are designed to be timeless and enduring. In 2014, her creation "The Easther dress" officially became part of the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. It was the first haute couture piece to be accepted by the National Museum of African Art.
