Roberto Cavalli S.p.a has announced the appointment of Peter Dundas as the group’s creative director.

After seven years as creative director at Emilio Pucci, the Norwegian designer is back in the style office of the famous Florentine fashion house where he worked from 2002 to 2005 alongside Eva and Roberto Cavalli.

“This really has the flavour of a homecoming for me. It’s an honour to be assigned the task of carrying forward the evolution of the fantastic, unique world of Roberto Cavalli and I’m incredibly excited by the potential of this extraordinary brand. I can’t wait to get started,” said Peter Dundas.

"The choice of Peter Dundas reflects our intention to continue along a stylistic path that’s earned enormous appreciation by innovating with respect to the tradition and glamour that have characterized the world of Cavalli since its beginnings," commented Roberto and Eva Cavalli.

Dundas’s first Roberto Cavalli collection will appear in September at the Milano Moda Donna. Peter Dundas will be creative director of the men’s, women’s and kids’ ready-to-wear lines, the accessories and numerous licensed products ranging from fragrances to underwear.

Prima Linea, the Just Cavalli, Class Roberto Cavalli and Roberto Cavalli Junior collections, the 190 single-brands points of sale worldwide and the 12 Cavalli Caffè and Cavalli Clubs make Roberto Cavalli Group one of the most highly appreciated exponents of Made in Italy at an international level.
