Tod's debut in prêt-à-porter

Tod's debut in prêt-à-porter

The recently finished Women’s Fashion Week in Milan had a rich array of excellent newcomers among whom the long awaited first show by Tod's designed by Alessandra Facchinetti. A new challenge for the brand from the Marche region which was intended to consolidate the value and international appeal of their prêt-à-porter range.

Making the announcement back in February was the same Diego Della Valle, who appointed Alessandra Facchinetti as creative director for the women’s collection: «Alessandra Facchinetti is a very talented woman.  Her passion for detail and new materials makes sophisticated craftsmanship possible. In this way she is perfect for our brand which has always been careful about quality and Made in Italy».

Born in 1972, she has already covered the role of creative director at Gucci and Valentino and then the Uniqueness brand, Alessandra Facchinetti , originally from Bergamo presented her first collection for  Tod's on the 20th September at the  PAC - Padiglione d'Arte Contemporanea in Milan. A meticulous, essential, elegant collection with a careful eye on detail.  A worthy example of the philosophy of Italian style which has always been at the heart of Tod's.
