MARCO LAGANÀ

Born in Italy in 1991, Marco Laganà is an up-and-coming designer. He graduated in Fashion Design at Politecnico in Milan, presenting a footwear project realized in collaboration with Fratelli Rossetti. After his studies, in July 2013 he moved to Paris for almost a year to work as a creative consul-tant and product designer for the shoe brand Camille Tanoh. In the same year, Marco collabo-rated with Maison Pierre Hardy for their online creative contents on social networks. In May 2014, He moved back to his home country and for all the customers. Focused on quality, he introduces also the classic leather sole. Consumerism is represented by his recognition product, the S05. Both products are declined on a suede palette of IKEA with pastel tones as for lacquer of tables and chairs. He also uses a technical material from another field such as Tyvek® to recreate the labels IKEA’s products. They seem to arise from the shelves of the multinational company. The message is clear and simple, communicating consumerism by producing handcraft, with an innovative way of communication, no doubt. started his own eponymous brand in January 2015. After few months he’s been selected as a finalist of the contest organized by Altaroma, L’Uomo Vogue and Pitti Immagine - Who is on next?2015 - and then in November of the same year he took part in the collective art exhibition at La Triennale di Milano - "Il nuovo vocabolario della moda italiana"-. After the first and second collections: "The Pop Art" and "The Italian Pic-nic", and the latest presented fall/winter 2016 - 17 R. U. G.
