COURSES OFFERED IN 2004-2005

Società d’Incoraggiamento d’Arti e Mestieri, in collaboration with Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, in the framework of a training project co-financed by  the European  Social Fund, the Regional Authority of Lombardy and by the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies, is organizing a course for 18 unemployed young men/women.
The course  for graphic designer specialized in publishing  and advertising for the fashion industry or the design-oriented sectors aims at training a professional who can unite a fashion- designer background to that of a graphic designer  specialized in advertising, publishing and multimedia. The objective is that of developing a knowledge of the communication tools specifically needed for the fashion industry  and integrate it with an understanding of multimedia and advanced computer graphics . The goal is that of teaching the students to present and develop ideas on a digital medium.
Venue: SIAM (Società d’Incoraggiamento d’Arti e Mestieri) Via Santa Marta, 18 Milano.
A TOTAL OF 1050 HOURS ( 333 of theory – 297 of hands-on experience - 420 of internship)
Final certification: certificate of professional qualification
The course is  for young people (>18 yrs) and/or unemployed adults or adults looking for their first job, holding a secondary school diploma.
Preferential requirements: basic computer and English knowledge, a professional background or specific interests linked with the fashion industry.
BEGINNING OF COURSES:  DECEMBER 20-21-22. Classes will be resumed in January.
Attendance is compulsory. Those failing to attend 25% of the total hours  will not receive the certificate issued by the Regional Authority.

Selections: December13 – 14 2004 in Milan – Via Santa Marta, 18.
Applications: applications on  unstamped paper must include personal data, CV, address, telephone number and reference to the selected course, authorization to the treatment of personal data. The self-certification regarding unemployment status, educational qualifications and national service position shall be also attached.

INDIVIDUAL TUTORING AND ENHANCEMENT OF THE INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE: initial action (counselling, analysis of skills, organizational skills), in-course actions (personal development plan, labour market approach), final actions (the effective presentation, the CV, managing the job interview,  analysis of the internship experience), counselling on equal opportunities.
