The Creative Spot has arrived

THE CREATIVE SPOT was officially announced at Milan Fashion Week. This unique project has been devised and realised by Fidenza Village and Vogue Italia in collaboration with the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, to support and showcase the new generation of Italian and international designers through an exclusive concept boutique designed by Architect Massimiliano Locatelli.

Located in the heart of the Village from May to August 2016, THE CREATIVE SPOT heralds the new fashion era, providing a dedicated space where unmistakable Italian style will merge with international creativity thanks to a unique edit of talent by Vogue Italia. “Supporting talented designers has always been our aim during the last decade. The Creativity Spot is a project intended to give these designers a chance to be seen internationally. At the same time, it aims at offering them an opportunity to get a commercial response, which is essential to them in order to go on with their activity”, explains Franca Sozzani.

THE CREATIVE SPOT initiative will support some of the most interesting names emerging on the international fashion scene; from the initial creative process right through to distribution, exposing the work of these designers to the most influential areas of the fashion industry and providing them with an important sales channel through exposure to a discerning international customer.

“Supporting talents and preserving the value of creativity is a central commitment of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion. THE CREATIVE SPOT offers a showcase and networking opportunities to young selected talents, a new generation of creative people who share a special bond with our country and in particular Milan, which remains a lively and dynamic centre of attraction of the Fashion System.” commented Carlo Capasa, president of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion. “For over a decade it has been our great pleasure and privilege at Value Retail to help support, develop and spotlight the next generation of creative talent. THE CREATIVE SPOT is the culmination of these years of focus and commitment to the future of fashion. We understand that emerging fashion creatives and entrepreneurs will often need the support of established commercial businesses to offer guidance and opportunity as they progress on to the global stage.
