Ermenegildo Zegna presents “Baco” by Patricia Urquiola

Ermenegildo Zegna is carrying forward its “Barrique, the third age of wood”, a project it launched in 2012 to give a smart new twist to recycling wood.

The project has turned into a permanent collection of 40 objects. At the Milano Moda Design 2015 it presented “Baco”, a stool made of wooden barrel staves by the famous Spanish designer Patricia Urquiola, who donated the design to the San Patrignano Community. The young people in the Community’s Design Lab produced the stool by hand.

The slightly rounded Baco – the name being the Italian for silkworm – is available as a single stool or in a triple version enabling interesting interplay between those sitting on it.
