In the occasion of the next edition of Milano Moda Uomo, Giorgio Armani is to host Edmund Ooi’s fashion show at the Armani/Theatre. At its seventh season, the initiative in support of young talents continues, after the prestigious catwalk of via Bergognone has already shown the creations by Andrea Pompilio, Stella Jean, Christian Pellizzari, Julian Zigerli, Au Jour Le Jour, Angelos Bratis.

Born in Malaysia, after studying in his country and achieving the Best Avant-Garde Designer award at only 19, Edmund Ooi has completed his education in Antwerp where he still lives and works. His innovative and experimental sensitivity finds its expression in stunning creations supported by a rigorous and architectural design approach.

"The initiative of supporting the new generation of designers, that has been going on for some seasons, still excites me because I can actually see its results and I try to maintain an international perspective. The Malay Edmund Ooi is the designer I have chosen this season. I wish him a future full of satisfaction”, shared Giorgio Armani.

“I feel incredibly honoured to have been selected by Giorgio Armani to hold my show and present my collection in his wonderful theatre. For a young designer like me, the excitement and gratitude for being offered the opportunity to show his work and what he believes to the world are beyond words”, declared Edmund Ooi.
