For 150 years Milan’s “drawing room”, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, a symbol of the city and a Made-in-Italy shopping mall, is the protagonist of the digital project InGalleria.com.

The website, created with the collaboration of the Municipality of Milan, is the result of the research and documentation work (supported by the publisher Feltrinelli) performed by the two great Italian brands: Prada, whose history began right in the Galleria with the opening of its first boutique in 1913, and Versace, that was shown for the first time in Milan in March 1978 and more recently has opened a store in the city’s “drawing room”.

The project’s six sections pick up the cultural and artistic legacy of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II: Restoration (that will end in April 2015, after 13 months of around-the-clock work, revealing the original two-colour facades designed by Giuseppe Mengoni), History, La Galleria, Life, Stories and tales (edited by the Milanese writer Giovanna Ferrante), Initiatives, Media Library. Many of the initiatives will be unveiled through the social media (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram).
