On Monday evening, an event fashion-show at the former Ansaldo workshops marked the beginning of a new course for Trussardi Jeans, the young and contemporary line of the brand, and was attended by the press and Italian and international celebrities

The 2015 fall/winter collection is the first one designed for Trussardi Jeans by creative director Gaia Trussardi who, inspired by a fresh and contemporary spirit, has brought on the catwalk a casual and cool, trendy and elegant fashion in line with the legacy of the brand. Denim and leather are the absolute protagonists of the collection which in women’s items reveals a sporty inspiration, quietly evokes gypsy atmospheres, gives a nod and a wink to the 1980’s and steals from menswear styles; classic cuts and new slim fits dominate the men’s collection. Great attention is given to quality and materials: graphic and funny prints on cottons and silks, jacquard mat fabrics, laser effects on two-colour jeans, denim treatment on the most classic fabrics, washed and metal-effect leather.

The Trussardi Jeans line revival is part of the strategic repositioning of the different lines of the Milanese brand that has been going on for several seasons since the appointment of Gaia Trussardi as creative director. The line revival will also rely on an internationally-oriented distribution: selected multi-brand stores, leading department stores (e.g. Galeries Lafayette, El Corte inglés, Gruppo Coin, La Rinascente, Harrod’s, Selfridges), partnerships with local distributors on the reference markets in the East and Russia, where the opening of 25 points of sale is expected by 2017, when Trussardi Jeans will also reach the United States.

Gaia and Tomaso Trussardi were the hosts of the event fashion-show attended among others by Anna Dello Russo, Andrea Barzagli and Patrice Evra, sporting the elegant Juventus official outfit designed by the brand, Alessandro Cattelan, Gaia Bermani Amaral. After the show, guests were entertained by the intense live performance of British singer Anna Calvi.
